In 2019 the LGBTQ Center of Durham will establish the first Host Home model in the region and the first LGBTQ+ competent homelessness program in the region. With the national support of Point Source Youth we will pilot a "Short Term Host Home Model for Homeless Youth” to support Durham homeless youth between 18-24 years old struggling with housing instability. Our Host Home services will be offered to all youth, but with a specific lens towards youth of color and LGBTQ+ youth.
