June 2, 2026 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

This event is intended for Queer and/or Trans survivors:
💜Some of the biggest barriers to survivor safety are finance related. While we do our best to put cash directly into survivors hands, in tandem, we thought it would be awesome to create a body doubling/coworking space where we can help each other executive function. 🤝 As well as offer relevant financial resources! That’s why we are launching “Get Shit Done” evenings🤓
They will occur biweekly and be available in person or online. Register here: https://forms.gle/KR1cfYCDuHXGSvPc6 If you or someone you know is a money expert who wants to share their knowledge with queer/trans survivors, please reach out!🍄🟫

Community March and Fair
Community March and Fair
June 27, 2026 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
"Our Day Out" Remembrance March & Resource Fair | Saturday June 27, 10AM - 2PM @ CCB Plaza to start (201 Corcoran St) and the LGBTQ Center of Durham to end (114 Hunt St)
We'll wrap up National Pride Month with our own march, in commemoration of "Our Day Out," North Carolina's first march led by LGBTQ+ community members in 1981 after the anti-gay assault and murder of Ronald "Sonny" Antonevitch at Little River. 45 years later, we return to this collective practice of social demonstration and invite folks to gather with us peacefully and boldly at CCB Plaza -- it's giving, "NO KINGS! YES QUEENS!"
Y'all, we'll chant and sing together, lifting our voices as well as our flags, signs, & banners to share how we really feel, and we'll march proudly to the Center for a handful of engaging speeches and a resource fair with more than 40+ community members and groups tabling.
Meet the Center's staff, board, and volunteers who are working diligently to keep our doors open. Bring your friends, and make new ones too. And stay hydrated -- we'll have H2O 2 Go on site, so also bring your water bottles. Ultimately, we hope everyone leaves with extra PRIDE, plenty more than when the day began.
